Dossier: Environment, health and human welfare

As human beings, we are closely linked to our environment. We influence nature and we are influenced by it. In recent decades there has been a growing awareness of the effect that human intervention on the environment may have on human health, especially in the context of the Anthropocene. In short, the creation of new epidemiological profiles that are researched from a historical perspective and an interdisciplinary perspective, will allow us to understand and propose actions that improve the environment and, consequently, human well-being. This call for articles focuses on the following areas of study: environmental history, history of public health and medicine, environmental change and pollution by human action, effects of pollution on health and human well-being. We welcome contributions focusing on episodes of impact on the oceans, environments and continents, including historical perspectives, theoretical reflections on the subject, environmental, social, cultural, political and economic analysis.
